5 things I know about myself...

1. I'm awful with money. I will never be rich, I will always probably have to worry about it and I'll keep on wasting what I have on all sorts of pointless crap.

2. I can't cut my food properly. I sort of use the knife and fork to tear my food apart. It's not too noticable to others but I've always had a problem with the sawing motion one should really use. I tried it with a Pizza earlier and it nearly shot off the plate and across the room.

3. I fall in love too easily.
And I can't do wallrides - a horrible combination.

4. I turn to The Beach Boys in times of need.
There's so much love in The Beach Boys. If things get a bit much I'll whack on the 'Boys. There's nothing that Surfer Girl or Don't Worry Baby can't cure.

5. I'm incredibly handsome. OK, that may not be necessarily true but I am fantastically intellectual and wittier than Oscar Wilde and Morrissey put together. I'm also hung like you wouldn't believe and my bedsprings shit themselves when I bring a girl home (which is loads obviously).

Aside from all that I do know that Arthur Tubb and crew were down from Sheffield for the weekend.
And I do know that French had his first clean shave in living memory. He looked about 12.

All the essentials. Some of us are professionals.
ZZ Top.

This is supposed to look like French and Pizzer were just passing each other on separate escalators. Except you can see that they're going in the same direction. Crap huh?
Mudchute kids have the best boards. I caught this one just in time.
And the marker pen graff at Mudchute reaches it's logical conclusion. It's fame I suppose, of sorts.

Heard I was killin' shit, they must got word

I saw Ghostface last night in Brighton. One thing I hate with a passion is live hip hop and I'd seriously considered not going but he's always been consistently awesome on record so I thought I'd give him the chance. Gawd bless 'im - he was great (of course he was, I never doubted him...err, much). It was at the Event club which, as Jack pointed out after being in there for 5 minutes, is like an old Top Of The Pops studio. Sure the place was full of try-hard gangsta types and girls with nothing on (can't complain) but seeing Ghost more than made up for all that. We got everything you'd expect - old WU songs, a moment of (near) silence for Ol' Dirty and the inevitable rendition of Shimmy Shimmy. Ok, I'll admit it - it was awesome.

People were still booing him when we came on.

OK, that's it. I seriously need to see some decent live music. It's been AGES and there's been a serious lack of live black/war/death in my ears in the last six months. Looking back there were some pretty fucking SERIOUS gigs over the last year or so - Revenge, Nifelheim, Mortician, Inquisition (above). After all that there's been a total metal drought. Can't Impiety come over or something?

Oh, not exactly on the same wavelength but there is a Ghostface gig tomorrow night here in Brighton. I have 2 tickets. But only I'm going now thanks to a friend who will remain nameless (Luke) who texted me to say that he doesn't WANT to go. Not CAN'T go - doesn't WANT to go. Cheers. Great. Is a night out with me really so bad? Who gives a fuck what the gig is?

Anyway, even if I have to go on my own I still got love for the Wu. Fuck all the haters*!

*Ages ago watching some shitty skate vid and it said that in the closing credits and Fos goes "Hey! That's us!"

Ha ha ha ha! You better believe it!

Everyday is like Tuesday

My friend Jon, who's actually my oldest friend, has a skate shop in Camden. It's called Tuesday after the skate crew he/we founded in Brighton several years ago (I shouldn't even be mentioning this - the 1st rule of Tuesday Crew is YOU DON'T TALK ABOUT TUESDAY CREW!)

The shop is at 118 Camden Road (you have to pass it on the way up to the Cantelowes park from Camden tube) and is right next to Camden Road overground station. The number is 020 7284 4515. The place has some really great gear (Jon has impeccable taste) so go buy something.

Anyway, Bruce and I drove up to London on Friday to see Jon, Ian and Ben and dick about at Cantelowes. Owen hand makes these for the shop. How sick is that? Normally he makes suits for the Rolling Stones and dresses for Nicole Kidman. You won't find sweatshirts with as much pedigree in Route One.Nearly there! Not that I'll be able to do much more than roll in and carve around 3 feet below the coping.Steph's boots were killing it.
O.G. Tue Crew (minus Naith). Why are my friends all midgets? I feel like Snow White sometimes. After the pub shut there was this spontaneous 'picking-people-up' phenomenon.Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. This is Ben's sister. Again - sorry.
Cheese in a phone box.
Probably just as well.Ben ordered this much food. It was nice and everything but - Jesus Ben!
The morning after. Marmalade feels the effects.

I'm good for nothing. Nothing is good enough for me.

This is really great. Apart from finishing on fucking Gaytallica. Cheers to Jocky for sending me that.

05 October 2006

I could be happy with you by my side, If I could forget her but it's my pride yes it is, yes it is, oh yes it is, yeah.

EEEEEEEUUUUURRGH. I'm ill. It started yesterday with uncontrollable sneezing and today I have the full green snot and painful chest routine. Great. Cheers. So I'm conducting all affairs from my bed today, watching Northern Exposure and generally feeling sorry for myself. You should feel sorry for me too. I'm a poor little sausage. Drinking 6 brandy and ginger wines in the pub last night probably didn't help either. And I lost at dice. I should probably just kill myself eh? Odin clearly doesn't give a shit about me anymore (even though i'm one of his best berserkers).
This is from the last time I was ill. That was a chewy one.

04 October 2006

I like my covers to be heavy, so I don't get cold when I sleep. My love affairs always seem unsteady and I never go halfway when I leave.

Got sent this link today. As I was promised it has some really great editing, something I'm a huge fan of. Are the Tories really going to get in next? Please no. You think the current lot are assholes? Wait until you see these fuckers in power again. Why are people so easily fooled?

I've been watching plenty of 9-11, and related, conspiracy documentaries lately, the kind of thing I used to scoff at (we all do right?) assuming that only the David Icke nutters of the world would find any credibility in this crap. Boy was I wrong. Even wronger than I was about me living on the moon by 2004 (can't believe i'm even bringing that up). I absolutely promise you your ears will prick up and your eyes will open wide when you watch this. It's called Loose Change and is a good place to start, you'll need a couple of hours to watch it but it's more than worth it. There's plenty more where that came from too, it's just one of many docs on the subject.

I guess most people's problem in handling ideas like these are that we're all used to passively assuming that the world is a good place (and it is!) and that those in charge of it surely MUST be a good bunch. Getting your head round the thought that they might be quite the opposite is tough, but be assured this is exactly how they think they can get away with all kinds of shit. The people behind events like 9-11 know that if the truth is really THAT horrible then most people won't want to believe it. Anyway, do your own research, make your own mind up. Chances are your telly and your couch will be safe anyway, why worry about anyone else?

OK, OK, OK. Don't worry, I'm not turning into a conspiracy nut just yet, although I am thinking of re-naming this site... don'tbelievetheman...maaaan.com.org/dogonabitofstringheretakeapamphlet

JOKES! OK, here's some dumb photos as usual. I'm off to put the second series of the Royle Family on my iPod.
